Who should be a member?

Anyone who is a graduate of an accredited dental school, has completed an accredited training program in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and is licensed to practice dentistry and/or medicine in the United States. The NSOMS welcome Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons who are interested in participating in leadership roles in the development and implementation of programs to increase the number of minorities within the specialty, and ultimately providing care for minority communities and the underserved population.

To increase the representation of minority professionals within the profession 

who can serve as leaders and role models in both academia and minority 

communities.
